What is PROBASE?

What is Probase? The Brazilian Program of Soil Analysis through Spectroscopy, PROBASE, is a program of courses that aims to provide subsidies on the fundamentals of sensors in soil and plant analysis. The subject matter ranges from soil analysis in the laboratory, to the use of sensors in the field, drone and satellite, closing with topics on management and applications in agricultural and environmental areas. The theme is open to all levels of professionals from students, researchers, consultants, and entrepreneurs.

Courses

ProBASE 1:

Fundamentals of soil spectroscopy. Data banks in the mid-infrared as well as the near-infrared are added in this class.

The focus is to show what is most current in the area of sensors in agriculture, always up to date with world movements. The course is updated every year and has both face-to-face and distance learning modules. The members become part of a group that is constantly updated on the subject.

ProBASE 2:

All the bands of the electromagnetic spectrum applied to soils (gamma, x-ray fluorescence, ultraviolet, LIBS, vis, nir, swir, mid-infrared, thermal, radar) and their applications are presented, theoretical classes with applied examples and focused on research and market. Dynamic and interactive class discussion.

DISTANCE LEARNING COURSE (EAD)

EAD Probase: Sensors and geotechnologies: applications in agricultural management and soil mapping. The EAD course is composed of 5 classes, all held on Mondays from 7 pm to 11:30 pm, with theoretical classes and practical examples:

1: Fundamentals of soil spectroscopy;

2: Fundamentals of all spectral bands and applications;
3: fundamentals of spectroscopy in soil and plant and applications in agriculture and soil management

4: fundamentals in traditional and digital pedological mapping;

5: geotechnologies in pedological mapping. Practical examples and action strategies
